We keep this simple. Below is what happens to the information nonprofit organizations submit through this website.
Only what you send us through the grant request form: your organization's name, website, EIN if you provide it, location and area served, your name, role, email and optional phone number, your description of your work and funding need, an approximate amount and timing if you choose to share them, and one optional PDF attachment. We don't ask for personal information about the people you serve, and we ask that you not include any.
Information submitted through our grant request form is used to evaluate potential charitable giving opportunities and to contact your organization about your grant request. We send an automatic confirmation email to the address you provide, and a notification to our own inbox.
Family members, advisors, and organizations involved in administering our charitable giving, including our donor-advised fund sponsor. Grant requests, internal notes, reviewer comments, and decisions live in a private, access-controlled system that requires an approved account to open. Nothing you submit is published on this website.
Any PDF you attach is stored privately. It is never given a public link — reviewers open it through a short-lived, signed link generated only after they sign in. Attachments are used only to understand your grant request.
We keep grant requests and related notes as part of our giving records, so that we can recall past conversations and remain consistent over time. You can ask us to remove your submission at any point.
We do not sell information for marketing purposes, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking on this website.
Submitting a grant request does not create a grant commitment or any obligation on the part of our family or its donor-advised fund sponsor.
Reply to the confirmation email you received after submitting, and tell us what you'd like corrected or removed from our records. If you can't find it, send a new grant request noting that it's a records request and we'll follow up.
